Josephus Foundation Scholarship
is inviting applications for the Josephus Foundation Scholarship from all newly admitted undergraduate and direct entry students, as well as those being considered for admission to the university in the admission cycle. This opportunity is open to students of any nationality, state of origin, tribe, sex, religion, or social status.
The Josephus Foundation Scholarship, a highly competitive award, is generously endowed by the Josephus Foundation, under the patronage of the University Chancellor, Chief (Dr.) Tunde Afolabi, MFR.
It reflects the institution’s commitment to supporting exceptionally bright yet financially challenged students who may otherwise struggle to afford tertiary education.
This scholarship provides partial coverage of tuition and accommodation fees only. Recipients will be responsible for a one-time payment of additional municipal and service charges as outlined in the undergraduate school fees schedule available on the University’s website.
The Scholarship will be awarded annually to newly admitted students (UTME, JUPEB, and direct entry) and may be renewed annually, contingent upon satisfactory academic performance, for the duration of the beneficiary’s program of study.
Scholarship Eligibility
To be eligible for the Josephus Foundation Scholarship at First Technical University, Ibadan for the ongoing admission cycle, applicants must meet the following criteria:
1. Have accepted admission or be under consideration for admission to any of the degree programs at First Technical University, Ibadan.
2. Have passed English Language, Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics, and Biology/Agricultural Science/Geography at the credit level in one sitting of the ordinary level examination. Direct Entry students must also have obtained at least a credit in three relevant science subjects at the advanced level.
3. Successfully complete the University Scholarship Screening Examination.
4. Maintain a Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of at least 3.50 to qualify for the annual renewal of the scholarship.
