River Bend Nature Center to hold Sip N’ Science for tornado anniversary

WICHITA FALLS, Texas (KAUZ) – River Bend Nature Center will be holding its upcoming Sip N’ Science event in honor of the 45th anniversary of the Terrible Tuesday Tornado.

The Sip N’ Science event will be held on Friday, April 12 from 6:30 pm to 8:30 p.m., two days following the anniversary.

People who attend can expect to learn about the following while enjoying beverages and delicious hor d’oeuvres!:

  • Wichita Falls’ extreme weather history
  • Timeline of the disaster
  • Truths vs. legends of the event
  • Tornado trivia and safety methods

The event will be guided by retired News Channel 6 morning meteorologist, John Cameron.

Sippers will learn how to keep themselves safe, view images of Terrible Tuesday and its aftermath, along with learning general tornado trivia.
