There was a delay in sales of Jamb forms for 2017. Potential Jamb candidates became so desperate to Write Jamb and gain admission into the university of their choice.
Due to how eager they were to write Jamb, fraudsters began to sell fake Jamb forms to them. The Joint Admission Matriculation Board discovered this and sounded a serious warning to candidates, as well as students.
According to the Chairman of the association, Comrade Chidiebere Egboh the fraudsters also collect money from their victims promising them of placing them in “Special Centres” to cheat during UTME.
After all the drama, Jamb 2017 registration started in March. The Jamb registration and Examination date were expressly disclosed by JAMB’s spokesperson Dr Fabian Benjamin.
However, it was learnt that some of the accredited centres in Lagos didn’t commence registration on time due to lack of JAMB access code.
Reacting to this, the spokesperson of JAMB, Dr Benjamin said the information that candidates were finding it difficult to register in the accredited centres in Lagos was strange. ”˜’I am not aware that UTME centres in Lagos are finding it difficult to register.” He said.
There were some unavoidable issues during the examination. Some computers had issues during the Exam and students were left so confused.
For this year Jamb, make sure you call the closest jamb official immediately you notice any issue with your computer. Jamb 2017 was full of drama.
