Admissions Criteria and Requirements

To join the Anchor University community, candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • Choice of University: Must have chosen Anchor University as their first or second choice, or be willing to switch to Anchor University.
  • Educational Background: Must have completed Secondary Education.
  • UTME Score: Must score a minimum of 160 in the UTME.
  • Academic Records: Must have 5 credit passes in related subjects at O’Level (including WAECNECO, IGSCE, NABTEB), with Mathematics and English Language compulsory for most departments. Departments of English and Linguistics, French, History, and International Studies do not require a credit pass in Mathematics.

How to Apply

  • Start Your Application: Visit the Anchor University Registration Portal to begin your application process.
  • Create an Account:
    • Navigate to Prospective Students.
    • Click on the Click To Apply button and complete the pre-registration form.
    • Ensure you use a VALID email address and create a password.
    • Check your email to activate the account you have created.
  • Complete Your Application:
    • Log in with the email address and password you set up.
    • Select the program of your choice and fill out the Application Form in steps, saving as you go.
    • You will be required to pay a NON-REFUNDABLE APPLICATION FEE.
    • After successful payment, print out the payment receipt.
    • Take note of your Application Number for subsequent logins and print the summary of your application form.

Post-Application

  • Regularly Check Your Email: Be sure to monitor your email regularly for notification of an invitation for the screening process.
  • Screening Instructions: If invited for screening, follow the link sent to your email. Log on with your Application Number and password and follow the instructions provided.
