Well in the Last Post about how you can make your Github Repository Stand out, I basically listed 2 tips that can help you out with that. I think it’s time to add one more, don’t you think? Don’t worry the first two are the same, but the last one will be different.
Tip One Get Rid of everything you are not using
Getting rid of things you are not using will help people not click on something and then just leave.
Tip Two Have a Brief but in depth description
Having a Brief but in depth description will help more people come to your Repository and Star and Fork it.
Tip Three Don’t spam people on Twitter, Instagram, Facebook or other Social Media apps
Now I know what your thinking “But Nathan we should do this so more people know about the project and how contributions are welcome.” Well that’s great and all but if you constantly spam people it will actually have a different affect on you as more people will actually go away from your Repositories.
